Internet Access Free ADSL Broadband UNIShare maintains an ADSL broadband connection to the property at no charge to the residents. The Broadband connection is shared with a normal telephone connection. The broadband service provider is Internode, one of Australia's leading ISPs. Internode's Extreme ADSL2+ offers download/upload rates speeds of up to 24Mb/s and 2.5 Mb/s. Local infrastructure may restrict performance at a particular address, and an ADSL plan is selected according to local delivery capability. The plan in turn determines the monthly download quota. If the quota is exceeded, the service is maintained, but at slower rates. The broadband service is fed into the house via an advanced ADSL Gateway switch, comprising an integrated ADSL modem, Firewall, Router, 4-port Ethernet Switch, and built-in Wireless-G (802.11g) access point. Housemates will need wireless-capable PCs or laptops to connect to the internet, as UNIShare does not generally provide a wired network in the house. Key Features
